QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE:
1) Not many girls are into comics, or the whole superhero thing at all. How do you fit in?
I actually know a lot of women who are into comics, some very good artists. I started out probably like many kids, reading my friend's (I was one of the few girls on the street), then gradually picking up my own. I know it's a male-dominated field, but hopefully Christina Z (Witchblade) and others like her will help change that.
2) What did/do you read?
I started out with superheroes, because that's what was at the local convenience store. I liked stories that involved women to some degree, so I read a lot of Fantastic Four, Avengers, Wonder Woman, etc. Currently, I'm into different types of work, Strangers In Paradise, The Maxx, and corny as it sounds, the new KISS comic book (the artwork is INCREDIBLE!) (That and I like KISS).
3) Do you really look like Debra Winger in that cute little outfit?
NO, I just don't have any scanned images of myself to put on here (YET!). Hopefully I'll get something on soon!
4) Don't you worry about this obsession of yours?
Well, I don't look at it as an obession, for one thing. I'm not stalking Burt Ward, or Chris O'Donnell. But I do like the idea and concept behind Robin, and I don't see it as any different than the dozens of sites I've been to devoted to Supergirl or Wonder Woman in perilous situations. I thought I was the only one who had these feelings, but now I see I'm not alone. Hopefully, maybe, someone who shares my feelings will see this site and realize they're not alone, either. If that happens, then it will be worth it.
5) Who's the best comic artist?
George Perez...no one can draw a person like he can, male or female.
6) Who's the best writer?
Either Terry Moore or Kurt Busiek.
7) Who's the worst?
I don't mind saying who's the best, but I won't say who's the worst.
8) What superhero would you want to be?
Not Wondergirl, surprise, surprise. I'd actually love to be Mary Marvel. It'd be so neat to go from a 12-year old to a 25-year old at the utterance of a single word.
